It’s the job of the preacher to sound the trumpet when it’s time to pick up and follow the fire.
Today is the beginnings of a renewed emphasis on a biblical proportioned harvest. Over the last couple of decades I have witnessed (suffered through) an over emphasis on the prophetic, the apostolic and nation wide unabashed worship wars between churches. All in the name of church growth and finding our identity.
What does the Bible have to say about identity?
“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone.” (Ephesians 2:19-20)
Now that we have the identity issue settled let’s move forward laboring together with the work of the Lord.
Far to many church groups have lost sight of the spark that established them. Revelations 2:4. What we all need is an upper room experience. Our mission is to promote, renew, establish, light, fan the flame so that the body of Christ will once again rise up and follow the fire.
What does the Bible have to say about church growth?
When we “Follow the Fire” “then the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:47)
Until we meet, greetings and blessings to the church that meets at your house. Romans 16:5
